Plague- Roman
The Roman Empire suffered the Antonien Plague, which started around 165. For 20 years all different diseases infected the empire. This killed almost half of the Roman population. However the Eastern half of Rome survived beacuse of its large population. The Roman tax base was also shrinking so it couldn't support the army any more. Rome also had increasing contract with Asia beacuse of trading and war which increased disease. -

Failing Economy - Roman
One reason for the failing economy was that inflation occured. Inflation is an upward movement in the average level of prices. Which mean the people bought fewer goods and shops closed because the prices went up.
Also the coins they used lost value.(debasement) because of that bartering grew more popluar. Another reason for the failing economy the government couldnt collect taxes cause there was no money. -

Death of Kings- Gupta
After the death of one of kings, Chandragupta II, the Gupta Empire started to fall apart. All of the leaders replacing him were not as effective in running the government. As the government was getting weaker, invaders were able to weaken it even more destroy the empire. Around 600 A.D., the Gupta Empire was completely gone. Afyer the area was made up of many different city-states again. However, even though the Gupta Empire was gone, the Gupta culture still lingered. -
Sino-Xiognu Wars-Han
DATE IS 89 NOT 1989*A very important reasont of the collapse of the Han Dynasty was the Sino-Xiongnu Wars from133 BCE to 89 CE. The Chinese and the Xiongnu fought for two centuries throughout the west side of China. This side was very important being that that Silk Road goods had to pass through to reach the Han cities. In 89, the Han beat the Xiongnu state. However, the Chinese win came at such a high price that exteremely hurt the Han government, causing the fall of the dynasty -
Invasion of The Huns- Gupta
The gupta empire faced many threats of invasion from the north. The cost of fighting off these invasions caused the Gupta to lose all their money. The most troublesome of the invaders were the White hunds, who conquered most of the northwestern section of Gupta territory by 500 CE. The hun didnt completely over run the Gupta empire, but the financial hardship made the empire fall.
