    Europe was involved in the iron curtain. This is when Europe was dibided into two seperate areas. This took place in Europe on March 5, 1946 until the end of the cold war because Europe was going to be divided.

  • Truman Doctrine

    Truman Doctrine
    Greece and Turkey were involved in the Truman Doctrine. This was a policy to stopo the soviet imperilism during the Cold War. It was announced to congress and took place on March 12, 1947 to contain soviet threats to Greece and Turkey.

  • Marshall plan

    Marshall plan
    The United States and Europe were involved in the Marshall Plan. This is when the US gave 13 billion dollars to Europe on April 3, 1948 to aid the European economies after the end of WWII

  • Berlin Airlift

    Berlin Airlift
    The US, British, and Soviet Union were involed in the Berlin Airlift. This divided and occupied and took place in Germany. This happened on June 24, 1948 when Truman ordered a massive airlift of supplies into West Berlin because he did not want to cause WWIII.

  • Mao Zedong

    Mao Zedong led China's communist revolution on Dec 26, 1949 to flee concerted attacks.

  • Korean War

    The Korean war was between Nort and South Korea. The United Nation Force fought for the south and China fought for the north. This took place on June 25, 1950 in order to have control over the South and North.

    Julius and Ethel Rosenburg were involved in the Rosenberg Trial. They were executed for conspiracy to ommit espionage and for passing information about an atomic bomb to the Soviet Union. This trail took place on March 6 1951 because they spied for the soviet union.

    The Soviet Union was involved, it was the first artificial Earth satellite and it was put into an elliptical low Earth Orbit on October 4, 1957. It was visible all around Earth and radio pulses were detectable.

    The Soviet Union was involved when the US U2 spyplane was shot down near Aramil on May 1, 1960 so that the American U2 spy aircraft could be intercepted.

  • Bay of Pigs Invasion

    Cuba was involved with the Bay of Pis when 1400 cuban exiles launcched a botched inavsion at the Bay of Pigs. This happened on the South Coast of Cuba on April, 17 1961 for the vitory of the Cuban government.
