The allies worked together to establish a plan to rid germany of any remnants of the Nazi party and Nazi beliefes. In part by bringing former Nazi and military leaders to justice for crimes committed during the war. -

Truman Doctrine
The TRuman Doctrine was a pledge to provide economic and military aide to oppose the spread of comminism. The U.S. congress agreed to send hundreds of million of dollars in aid to greece and terkey. -
The Berlin Airlift
THe Soviets blocked off all land, rail, and water routes into west burlin. All of Berlin's 2 million residents were no longer to import food, coal, and other vital supplies. They eventualy decided to supply Berlin with Cargo planes. A cargo plane was either taking off or landing ever 30 seconds. -
Marshall plan
The U.S. government launched a massive program of economic aid in the middle of 1947. (if their is 12 months then the middle of 1947 would be June since it is the 6th month) It was named after a U.S. secretary of state Gorge Marshall. This act provided 13 billion dollars for rebuilding Europe. -
NATO
