This conference was held for the leading officals of the Nazi party. It was the turning point towards the views of Jews. -

The American aircraftes destroyed the Japanese naval forces after Pearl Harbor. -

A conference attended by the leaders of the U.S., Great Britain and the Soviet Union to plan the final attack against Nazi Germany. -
Iwo Jima/Okinawa
Japanese islands captured by the U.S. military forces. These islands put the U.S. within range of an American bomber, which led to the over taking of Japan. -
Hitler’s suicide
Fifty five feet under ground in his bunker, he killed himself along with his wife and dog. -
VE Day
The day in which the Allied powers over came Germany for the victory. -
Potsdam Conference
A conference in Potsdam, Belgium held by the Allied powers of World War II, attened by Truman from the U.S., Churchill from Geart Britain and Stlain from the Soviet Union. Procedures of peace in Eurpoe were discussed but no treaties were created. -
Atomic bombing of Hiroshima & Nagasaki
The U,S. dropped the only bombs to have ever been used in wartime on the two Japanese cities. -
VJ Day
The announcement of Japan's total surrender to the Allied powers, ending War World II. -
Truman Doctrine
President Harry Truman announced that the U.S. would be providing military and economic aid to Greece, which was being threatened by the Soviet Union. -
Marshall Plan
The plan saying that the U.S. would aid the European countries economically. -
NATO
An organization of 12 nations all against agression. -

In response to NATO, the pact was made up of communistic Eurpean countries. -

The Soviet Union released a series of 10 satellites. Sputnik 1 was the first satellite launched by man. -

The invasion of 1,500 Cuban exiles into Cuba on the Bay of Pigs, orchestrated by the U.S.. -

Built by the Germans, the wall was meant to sever ties between east and west Berlin. -
