Berlin Airlift
Germany was divided in two one side controlled by the Soviet Union and the other controlled by western allies. The soviet Blockaded rail, road, and water access to allied areas in Berlin. The United states and United Kingdom instead airlifted food and fuel to Berlin from the allied airbases in the western part of Germany. -
