The Berlin Airlift was when the USSR blocked off all of Berlin’s exports and imports. In response, the US and Great Britain airlifted ~23 million tons of food to the people in Berlin. -

The Berlin Wall was built in 1961 by East Germany and went right through Berlin, dividing it in East and West Germany. It did not fall for almost 20 years. -

The Cuban missile crisis was a confrontation between the US and the USSR during the cold war when the USSR put several missiles on Cuba and threatened to fire them at the US. -

The moon landing happened during the cold war when the US sent Apollo 11 to the moon. Neil Armstrong was the first person to set foot on the moon. -

The Berlin Wall was destroyed when East German officials tore it down and several citizens began to as well. This took place in Berlin, Germany.
