The U.S and Great Britain orchestrated then Berlin Airlift to resupply the city. Which was 15 month operation. Stalin made the blockade because he wanted the western allies out of west Berlin. -

Berlin Wall
A wall that was used to physically divide Berlin in the year 1961 all the way to 1989. The reason of the wall was to stop all the of the East Germans fleeing and go to the Democratic West.
