President Truman gets $400 million dollars from Congress to aid Greece and Turkey, who were in danger of falling into Communist control
This could be seen as Political because President Truman got money from Congress to help other countries and keep them from communism. The creation of this doctrine lead to the Marshall Plan.

Marshall Plan
Plan created by U.S. secretary of state, George Marshall, to rebuild Europe from the destruction done during WWII
This is Economic because the secretary of state was using a lot of money to keep countries in check without straying to communism. This led to a sense of isolation for the USSR that was quickly fought against.
