    Truman Doctrine
    It is a policy by President Harry Truman who proposed that the United States would provide political, military, and economic aid to all democratic European nations under threat from external or internal forces after WWII. The main idea of this policy was to help prevent the spread of the communism.
  • Marshall Plan

    Marshall Plan
    Marshall plan was signed by the President Harry Truman. The United States was already assisting European economic recovery with direct financial aid after WWII and help prevent the spread of communism. Truman appointed George Marshall who was behind the victory of WWII, as the secretary of state. He introduced the Marshall Plan concept and shared with the world in a speech on June 5, 1947 at Harvard University.

    Korean War

    The Korean War is mainly about spreading communism across the country. The war is between North Korea which is communist and South Korea which is non - communist. North Korea invades the south in the 38th parallel and many of them dies. U.S gets involved and supplies weapons to south since they also don't want to spread the communism. Finally, the south invades north and many of them dies in the war. They end the war by a cease fire but they didn't had an official peace treaty to end the war.

    The communist government of East Germany begins to building the berlin wall to divide East and West Berlin. By the division of east and west Germany, it formed the boundary of "iron curtain". Construction of the wall caused a short - term crisis in U.S - Soviet relations and the wall itself came to symbolize the Cold War.

    When the cold war begin to thaw across the Eastern Europe, the government of East Berlin's communist party announced a change in the relations with the West. Citizens were free to cross the country's borders. This was taken as the beginning of the fall of communism and the Soviet Union which symbolises the failure of communism and massive socialism.
