    Fidel Castro comes to power in Cuba

    During Fidel Castro's leadership he led an attack on moncada resulting in many of his soldiers deaths and his imprisonment.The United States tried helping to improve his image as a leader. Once Castro was out he found himself in Mexico where he would plot his return with Che Guevara. Castro and 81 other men sailed on the Granma which was soon ambushed by Cuban government forces. The 18 survivors included Castro. After the Guerrillas attack Castro arrived in Havana taking over as prime minister.

    Bay of Pigs

    This invasion was known to be a complete disaster the invasion was meant to kept a secret for as long as possible but soon later a radio station revealed it. Every little detail was revealed coral reefs sank exiles ships well arriving at the shore. The exiles surrendered after almost not even one day. 114 were killed and 1,100 were taken as prisoners.

    The Berlin Wall Goes Up

    This was the division of Eastern Berlin and Western Berlin which were being divided by a concrete wall. This wall was built to keep out strong controlling group leaders from the west out of Eastern Germany. The wall was made to avoid any if not all conflict between East and West. the division was decided after world war II.

    Collapse of the soviet union

    There were many effects to the fall of the Soviet Union one of them being the freedom speech which caused many to criticize the government. there were also Nuclear issues we were trying to bankrupt the Soviet Union. a big effect was the fall of the Berlin wall when Baltic states found their own Independence.

    The Fall of The Berlin Wall

    There was a change with the communist relations with the west starting midnight all people from east and west came to the wall.they were finally allowed to cross the border people came with hammers and picks and began taking down the wall chunk by chunk they were known as wall wood workers. Once the wall came down Berlin was finally united. The fall happened in 1989.
