Yalta Conference
The Big Three Churchill (Great Britain), President Roosevet (USA), & Stalin (Soviet) at the end of World War II agreed that Stalin would join the fight against Japan to end World War II along as the United States & Great Britain allowed the Soviet Union to control Eastern Europe after the War. The Berlin Airlift is when Stalin tried to force the Western Allies out of Berlin by sealing off every railroad and highway into the Western sectors of the city, but the Western powers responded. They responded by mounting a round-the-clock Airlift. ( The western Powers success forced the Soviets to end the Blockade). -
