Introduction:
Cloud services provide an on-demand access to shared pool of configurable computing resources. it includes network devices, servers, storage and applications. Everyone might have use the Cloud for baking up of images or data. The scope of cloud-based services is much wider then storage as it gives organization and people the opportunity to organize and manage the data with different tools and techniques. We would be able to learn how different cloud based technologies could be used. -
A1- Cloud Computing in Organizations
The following are the reasons and characteristics of cloud computing: improved productivity, diversification of service, improved user experience, reduced costs, flexibility of service, on-demand self service, ubiquitous access, resource pooling, measured service and rapid elasticity. -
A3- IT requirements of an organization
Aims and requirements of cloud computing comparing to their current system includes: current IT system used to meet the needs of organization and its customers
services of a organization and hoe cloud can support them
aims and goals for cloud computing and how they may be met
costumers-service delivery, benefits
staff-needs, working style and patterns
location-staff, customers, business premises, market
legal and ethical considerations-licensing, data security, privacy -
A4-Impact of Cloud Services
for individual users:
uses and applications
flexibility
cost
efficiency
risks-data availability, third-party ownership
challenges-technical support, staff skills, staff training, implementing procedures
for organizations:
user experience-ease of use, performance, availability, accessibility
staffing issues-skills, training, individual needs, working patterns
cost
implementation
backup and disaster recovery
constrains-bandwidth firewalls
legal and ethical considerations
legal ownership -
A5- Legal Requirements
Data protection legislation
Computer Misuse Act 1990 and its definitions of illegal practices and applications
Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and its requirements in terms of protecting software products and digital media such as music and films
Telecommunications (Lawful Business Practice)(Interception of Communications)Regulations 2000
Fraud Act 2006
legal liability and contractual obligations -
A2- Cloud Computing models
Software as a Service SaaS- web based applications for end users
Platform as a Service PaaS- tools and services to help make developing and deploying applications more efficient.
Infrastructure as a Service IaaS- hardware and software needed for a functioning system to operate.
link between virtualization and cloud services
characteristics requirement of different cloud delivery models: community, hybrid, private, and public.
self-host versus third party services
scope, of cloud service models -
Cloud- Flashback
we did an introduction to cloud its services how it has impacted the environment, organizations, individuals and future technology. Then we started an activity which was all about the evolution of technology which ended on cloud computing and that exercise also involve some cloud related terms.
In this lesson we learned about cloud its services such as SaaS, PaaS, IaaS along with virtualization. We did some activities revolving around the terms related including pros and cons of virtualization. -
Cloud- 24/09
Cloud and its services, Services in business sector, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS afterwards we did an activity on the virtualization along with its advantages and disadvantages.
Today we build a small network then configured it, tried to ping them all it kind of worked just isn't working with the pinging of the network through another switch it says 25% lost. After that did an activity on Putty, HyperTerminal and tera term. -
Cloud 1 October 2021
Last week we worked on the building of a network along with that we did an exercise on putty, HyperTerminal and tera terminal.
Today we learned about ports and different protocols which are in layers which work to deliver information across the network. Some of those protocols include HTTP, HTTPS, IP and many others. We also did an activity on packet tracer and tried to configure SSH on a Cisco router and switch. -
Cloud 08/10
Last week we configured SSH on the network and did an activity about the protocols and the ports such as HTTP i.e. hyper text transfer protocol and it uses port 80.
This week we tried to configure our network through vpn and it was kinds ok because we are getting used to the terminologies and specially the configuration. IT was kind of challenging but we'll do it somehow. -
Cloud
Last week we tried to configure our network through VPN. I tried but there was an error. I am going to do it again but haven't done it yet.
This week we worked our way through decimal and binary numbers. Then we did a small activity on Project management that was about functional and non functional requirements. -
Session after half term
Before Half term we did an activity on Binary and decimal numbers and also an activity on functional and non functional requirements that are related to a project.
Today we started the cloud on cisco Neta Cade Academy and I marked my way through the first 3 units. In these three units I learned about services, Characteristic and architecture of cloud. I also learned about how cloud works, what is the basic difference between virtualization and cloud. How cloud satisfies the user needs. -
Cloud cisco unit 4...
Last week we looked at service, characteristics and architecture of cloud. We also learned some difference between virtualization and cloud computing.
This week I worked at the Cloud assignment 1 again and started from beginning. Looked at it throughout and worked my way half way through. Working on the pointers for the comparison of cloud technologies. -
Project management assignment 2
Today I did the assignment 2 for project management. I was working on the assessments and somehow managed to worked my way through the economical, legal and technical assessments. In technical part of it i wrote down the specification for the hardware and what we are required to process the work smoothly. I did some of the research and came up with some specifications required for the processor and the design. I wrote these down and did a cost evaluation of them separately. -
