    Sherman led his army from Atlanta to Savannah burning houses, and killing people that fought back along with livestock all while taking two paths. This march weakened the south's economy by destroying farmland and taking cattle and livestock. History.com
  • Freedmen's Bureau

    The Freedmen's Bureau helped poor whites and freedmen get food, money, jobs, and education. The bureau was eventually prevented due to a shortage of money and people wiliing to help. History.com
  • Klu Klux Klan

    The Klu Klux Klan were agroup of white men that would go out at night and torture black freedmen. It included mostly confederate veterans and the first branch started in Pulaski, Tennessee in 1866. History.com
