    the soutrh hated tarrifs, they thought they were unfair, but the North loved it Vice president, John C. Calhoun said you could make a a nullification of the law, but people thought it was unconstitutional. South Carolina threathed to secced if they dont get rid of the tarrifs. then Henry Clay came up with a solution, for south to pay tarrifs, but the north must lower the terrif.

    the congress passed the act, the act permitted the capture of African- Americans who lied to the north to escape the boundage.Abolitionists became more aware of what they had to do to arid slavery. this made the tensions worse and resulted in stage for John Brown's Raid and the American Civil War.

    John Brown wanted slaves to be able to fight for their freedom, so he led a raid. So he and his men attacked the army base of Harpers Ferry to arm slaves. John Brown and some of his men were captured and 10 were killed. This event encouraged abolistionists to fight agfainst slavery with power.
