Civil War Timeline

  • Start of the War

    Time was shifting. The Northerners could not stand slavery any longer. They wanted change. The south also wanted change. They did not like the north´s idea of a perfect country. The wanted new money, new work systems, and slavery. So, as history goes down, a war was declared.
  • Battle Of Fort Sumter

    This battle could be called the first battle of the Civil war. Fort Sumter was attacked by the Confederates, causing the Union to return gunfire. This was the other well known reason the war started.
  • The Bull Run

    I won't do all the battles, but here is the second. The bull run took place in Virginia, Taking place in 1862
  • The Battle Of Gettysburg

    This was the not only the bloodiest battle of the civil war, but the bloodiest battle in American history. A total of 51,000 deaths, 28,000 of which were southern. The considered winner is the Union, but in reality, there were no winners.
  • War is Over

    The war was over. The Union had won, banning slavery and returning America to peace and to one again. The deaths were over the charts, ranging at 620,000. This was the largest was in American history, and will never be forgotten.

    This was the final battle of the Civil War. Little Casualty rate.
