In the election of 1860 Abraham Lincoln was running for president with John C. Breckinridge. John C. Breckinridge was representing the Southern Democratic party. The Rebublican Party was represented by Abraham Lincoln. Finally Abraham Lincoln won presidency becoming our next President.
