    Lincoln's election was a huge factor in the start of the Civil War because it brought an antislavery president from an antislavery party into power. The South was mad because Lincoln did not get a single electoral vote from the South. This later led to the South leaving the Union.
  • Attack on Fort Sumter

    Confederate forces attacked Fort Sumter looking for supplies. The forces inside the fort were forced to surrender. Start of the Civil War. There was only 1 casualty from a soldier who blew himself up.
  • First Battle of Bull Run

    This battle was fought in Appomattox County, Virginia, on the morning of April 9, 1865. This was one of the last battles of the Civil War. After this battle the Confederate General Robert E. Lee was forced to surrender to the Union Forces.
