    The Liberator is a newspaper which deals with slavery. Created by William Lloyd Garrison who was against slavery.

    Proposed by Henry Clay of Kentucky who also proposed the Missouri Compromise. Read that California would be a free state Washington D.C would have illegal slavery and that anyone who helped a slave would be imprisoned.

    Written by Harriet Beecher Stowe and stated that slavery was a brutal and cruel system.

    Proposed by Stephen Douglas, a senator from Illinois, and stated that popular sovereignty would decide if Nebraska and Kansas would have slavery. This act also repealed the Missouri Compromise.
