This battle was in September 1863 in Sabine Pass, the southern border between Texas and Louisiana. The location is significant because this was a narrow river that did not fit 3 of the warboats of the abolitionists. Some critical people in this battle were Jefferson Davis and the Davis Guards. The outcome was that 47 soldiers beat 4,000 soldiers. This battle was significant because a small group of soldiers with limited supplies won the dispute with a bigger group with many more artilleries. -
