    It was the start of the Civil War. The Confederates won. No one died. The Union was in control of the fort for 4 months. It started at 4:30 AM.

    The Union won. It was the Bloodiest Day in U.S history.

    Abe Lincoln didn't free all the slaves. He only freed the ones in the Confederacy.

  • Battle of Gettysburg

    The bloodiest battle of all U.S history. It was called the turning point because the Confederate kept winning and in this battle the Union won. It was a three day battle.

  • Battle of Vicksburg

    It led to the win of the north. The Union was in control of Mississippi. The Confederates West allies were cut off.

  • The Gettysburg Address

    It was stating that slavery was worth fighting for.

  • The Appomattox Courthouse

    This is when Lee surrendered. After the Union siege, Confederate soldiers defending the city were near starvation. As a result, Petersburg fell. The next day, Richmond, the Confederate capital, also fell. The war was over!
