  • Battle of Galveston

    On the first day of the year, the Confederates entered Galveston. As the battle was fought, the Union continued to try to take the port, but they were unsuccessful. The Confederates successfully killed William and they secured the port, concluding the battle.
  • Battle of Sabine Pass

    The Battle of Sabine Pass was fought in the Sabine Pass. The outcome of this battle was that the Confederacy won the battle.
  • Battle of Palmito Ranch

    This battle was one of the last battles fought in Texas. The outcome of this battle was that the Confederate forces effectively defended against the Union's attack, and with the retreat of Barrett, the final land battle of the Civil War was brought to a close.
