    Frederick Douglas was a slave who fled to NYC to achieve his dream. He later published his own autobiography on " the life of Frederick Douglas" and three years later he published his first issue of the North Star which promoted freedom for all slaves. It got its name because slaves escaped at night and followed the North star to freedom.
