Missouri compromise
Missouri wanted to be a slave state but that would've affected the free and slave states in congress so the U.S. admitted Main and Missouri at the same time. -
compromise of 1850
A important part of the compromise of 1850 is the fugitive slave act, that is if any slave ran away they were to be brought back there owner. Alexander Stephens and some other congress man liked the compromise of 1850 so they created the georgia platform they tried encouraging people to vote and pass it on. -
Fort Sumter
The Union had captured the Fort so that they could push the confederates back cause they had more population and machinery. -
Chickamauga
The north came down to Georgia to take over the Chattanooga Railroads to stop them from trading but the union did not win. -
KKK
The KKK known as the Ku Klux Klan where a group of people that don't like black people so they wanted things to go back to how it was by killing them. -
Freedmen's bureau
The freedmen's bureau was the first to establish schools, hospitals, education, and more for the free blacks. they were to be treated fairly in court.
