Plessy vs Ferguson 1896
Plessy vs Ferguson was the court case between Homer Plessy and the Louisiana law. It was one of the Black Civil Rights Organization Test Case arguing their rights under the 14th Amendment. He argued as a 1/6 black, "Creole," he testified stated that his constitutional rights were violated and he should be able to sit with the blacks as a equal citizen. The ruling of the case was eight to one as the black and white cars are separate but equal, as he was arrested, thus starting the Jim Crow LAws.
