    Dred Scott v sandford
    Dred Scott was bought by a man and when that man died he left scott to his wife. When scott wanted to buy his freedom and she refused and that is when he sued. They he was sued by the wifes brother and that is when the court said that people from Africa could not be sued because they were not american citizens.

    so they 13th amendment abolishs slavery which means it outlaws slavery completely and slavery or anything like it is against the law.

    the 14th amendment granted citizenship to all persons born or naturalized in the United State. this meant that former slaves were us citizens and this was passed to help the 13th amendment to abolish slavery.

    this protects the american voter rights and says that no one can be dined to vote in a election. also saying that Any American cannot be denied the right to vote, based on race, color, or being a former slave.

    The 19th amendment said that The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex. This meant that women had the right to vote which was very big and still is very significant

    This was a very big case and this is when the court ruled that racial segregation was unconstitutional in schools and it schools that were equal
