13th Ammendment adopted

14th Ammendment adopted
All persons born or naturalized in U.S. were citizens, must respect rights of U.S. citizens and provide them "equal protection of the laws" and "due process of law". -

Prohibits states from denying citizen's right to vote on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude. -
