First Home Computer
I was living with my grandma while my mom was over sea's in the Army, She had just gotten a computer for the study room. The internet connection was slow back than but I remember being hooked right away. We only had that one computer, so I had to share with my sister and my uncle (who is adopted and only about a year older than I). I was so excited and in love with a device that I could listen to music from and I remember taking turns playing on Neopets. -
VHS Tapes
I remember using my First VHS tape while living in North Carolina after my mom remarried to my step father. We had just moved into a smaller home and I had to share a room with my sister, we would sit together and watch Pokemon but the show start to play later at night when it was bed time. So my mom would set up the VCR player so that the VHS tape could record the show. It would record everything even the Ad's that played. -
Crash Bandicoot
I was just 7 years old, the game Crash Bandicoot was a game that first came out only about a year ago and I was finally able to play it. My uncle had just gotten the PlayStation Game system the first game system I was able to play with my first game being Crash. I remember having to take turns because it was only a one player game and absolutely loving the graphics and being able to control a character on the TV with a remote control in my hands. -
First Cell Phone
I had just started high school after our final move back to Arizona. As for most teenagers during the time I was able to get my cell phone on the 13th birthday and I remember being so excited but nervous. It was a lot of responsibility as it was something you had to keep an eye on and not loose as well as being careful of how much you texted or called. We didn't have an unlimited data plan at the time and I remember the fear of accidentally opening the web browser and causing charges. -
First Laptop
I was just finishing High school and moving onto College, so my mom had just gotten me my first laptop. The ability to bring my computer with me everywhere had me super excited, I could play all my PC games like Sims anywhere I wanted, do Homework, or even play YouTube videos. I was so excited it became as casual to bring to sleep overs. I was so excited to not have to share a computer anymore and personalize it.
