- He was one of the first people to bring Jesus's name to popularity in Rome.
- Paul was known for prosecuting the disciples of Jesus of Nazareth.
- He was also from Jerusalem and came to Rome just to spread Christianity.

Jesus of Nazareth
- He was discovered by the Roman Christians early 30 AD.
- He was a Christian and was kept a secret from the rest of Rome until the Edict of Milan was made.
- Constantine the Great was the first to share Jesus with the rest of Rome.
- Jesus was a huge Roman impact and had further changed Rome and made them except the religion even though he had already died.

Roman Rule of Israel
- Rome had managed Israel's military and political things.
- At first Rome had punished people in Israel for being christian.
- Paul of Tarsus was the first man to help Israel and defend religion there.
- The people in Israel were not ready for change so when Rome had claimed rule on Israel, people were rioting.

Great Fire of Rome
- Rome's emperor Nero had set the city on fire and everybody in Rome had blamed the Christians because they are unwanted.
- Most of Rome was burned to the ground except the Christians homes.
- 14 districts of about 100 homes were burned. 4 districts were untouched.
- The Great Fire of Rome lasted 6 days.

Great Persecution
- The Great Persecution was an extreme event when people did not except the Christian religion and so all Christians were put to death, and were killed or made slaves.
- 7 million Christians were killed during the persecution, and the great persecution was led by emperor Diocletian.
- People saw every problem occurring because of the Christians not worshiping the Roman Gods.
- The Christians had there own rituals, but the were hidden so they weren't killed. They also believed in Jesus.

Battle of Milvian Bridge
- This battle had happened on top of the bridge.
- The war occurred because Constantine wanted to establish Rome's religion as Christian and not everybody agreed.
- Diocletian claimed himself as the imperial title in Rome and he did not like Constantine's decision about religion.
- Constantine saw a cross in the sky that said "In hoc signo vinces". (In this sign conquer)

Edict of Milan
- This was a letter signed by the emperors of Rome saying that all people get freedom of religion.
- The letter before it was signed was agreed upon by 1 other emperor, the emperors name was Licinius, the emperor of the east.
- The Edict of Milan granted lots of favors the Christians after the Great Persecution.
- Christians were given there own meeting places and temples and the religion had began to grow.

Constantine's Fight for Christianity
- Constantine wanted freedom of religion even though he had nothing to do with Christianity.
- Constantine was the Western Emperor and he noticed unfair religiousness and wanted a change.
- He then proceeded to become the first Christian emperor of Rome.
- The letter was signed in Milan during Constantine's sister's wedding.

Emperor Theodosius's Prime Time
- Theodosius was the longest lasting Roman Emperor.
- He reunited western and eastern emperors.
- Also around this time he was known for making Christianity, Rome's primary religion.
- He was also one of the biggest religious writers in all of Rome.
