Preschoolers learn to initiate tasks and carry out plans. or they feel guilty about efforts to be independent. -
First day of preschool
Starting preschool helped to develop my personality through the interaction with other children. Preschool is the time during which I began to carry out activities on my own and perform tasks. -
Hawthorn Elementary School
Beginning elementary school helped me to develop morally in the sense that it allowed me to exhibit my skills. I was able to show my understanding in basic concepts and my competency to apply myself. -

Stage 4- Elementary School
Compentence vs. Inferiority
Children learn the pleasure of applying themselves to tasks or they feel inferior. -

Stage 5- Adolescence
Identity vs. Role Confusion
Teenagers work at refining a sense of self by testing roles and then integrating them to form a single identity, or they become confused about who they are. -
PH Girl's Tennis
Joining the girl's tennis team helped me to define my sense of self by allowing me to explore the things that I did and did not enjoyed. The tennis team expressed a more competitive side to myself that I did not usually present to others. -
First day of high school
My first day of high school marked a transition into developing my own personality. Beginning high school allowed me to pursue things that interest me as an individual. High school was an opportunity to define myself as my own person through classes, sports, school clubs, and the people I choose to surround myself with. -
Graduate High School
Graduating high school will help to develop my personality by allowing myself the freedom to explore and make my own decisions regarding my future. Graduating high school will allow me to experiment with my different interests toward what I wish to do with my future, career wise. -
Move to Virginia
The decisiont to move to Virginia in order to go to college will largely affect my identity. Moving far away from my family and friends will help me enter into a stage of independence that I have yet to experience. I will have the opportunity to build the life around myself that I desire and create my own living environment. -
Attending College
Attending college will influence my identity in multiple ways. College will be a time where I must come to terms with building a life and career for myself. I will face more responsibility than what I ever have before and I will be making decisions that have a huge impact on my future. -

Stage 6- Young Adulthood
Intimacy vs. Isolation
Young adults struggle to form close relationships and to gain the capactiy for intimate lvoe, or they feel socially isolated. -
Begin a Career
Beginnign a career will influence my identity with the new responsibilities and experiences it will provide me, A career will help me enter into a stage of intimacy where I begin building close relationships with thsoe around me or face isolation. -

Stage 7- Middle Adulthood
Generativity vs. Stagnation
In middle age, people discover a sense of contributing to the world, usually through family and work, or they may feel a lack of purpose. -

Stage 8- Late Adulthood
Integrity vs. Despair
When reflecting on his or her life, the older adult mahy feel a sense of satisfaction or failure. -
Old Age
As I become older my identity will be influenced by my looming death. I will either be satisfied with the life that I have lived or I will feel regretful of my actions. This will be a time where I either become content or depressed. If I become depressed I will feel as though my life was pointless. My identity will be influenced by the way I feel about my past.
