The first paper was made out of hemp and Mulberry tree bark. They started in the 2nd century and improved as time went on. For 500 years they were the only people on the earth who knew how to make paper. -

Travel: Compass
The first Chinese compasses were piece of lode stone in a plate, and since the earth is giant megnet and lode stone is magnetic, the stone would point north. -

Travel: Paddle wheel boat
The Chinese used to paddle across a river on a boat with a canoe and paddle. Then they made the paddle wheel boat. They made this by putting a ton of paddles in a wheel. They powered it by a treadmill that was on the platform of the boat that spun the paddle wheel. -

This invention was possible after invention of paper. This helped the Chinese make multiple copies very quickly. There was a wood block with a design on it, then put it in ink and put it on multiple sheets of paper. -
