    The first Chinese compasses were piece of lode stone in a plate, and since the earth is giant megnet and lode stone is magnetic, the stone would point north.

    The Chinese used to paddle across a river on a boat with a canoe and paddle. Then they made the paddle wheel boat. They made this by putting a ton of paddles in a wheel. They powered it by a treadmill that was on the platform of the boat that spun the paddle wheel.
