Taiping REbellion The Taiping Rebellion was a massive cicil war in Southern China. It Lasted from December 1850 to 1864 in August.

Wuchang Uprising
The Wuchang Uprising took place Wuchang,Hubei, China. It beagn over the dissatisfaction of the way a railroad crisis was handled. The Uprising strted the Xinhai Revolution, which led to the ending of the Quing Dynasty.

Gang of Four arrested
These were four members of the Communist Party Officials which included Mao Zendon's last wife, Viang Quing, Zhang Chungiao, Yaowenyuah, and Wang Hongwen. They all came during the Cultural Revolution and were charged and arested for many crimes.

Tiananmen Square Protest
<ahref='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiananmen_Square_protests_of_1989' >square</a>The Tianenmen Square was a huge riot led by students for 3 whole months.(April 15, 1989 to June 4,1989) The students protested about social equality and a freedom of press.However the Chinese government didnt like this and they werent going to tolerate it .On the other hand, the students were persistant and determined to get their point across and refused to stop. Because of this thousands of lives were taken and till this day the exact number of deaths has yet to be exposed. -

This event was also kmown as the "Handover" beacuse this is when Hong Kong made a sovereignty transfer from United Kingdom to China. Hong Kong made its transfer on July 1, 1997 which marked the end of the British rule in which the British had over Hong Kong.

Macau returned to China
Macua returning to China was an sovereignty switch from Portuguese Republic to China. This took place on December 20, 1999. The official transfer started December 19, 1999 at the Cultural Center of Macau Garden and ended at dawn on December 20, 1999. A big celebration was held with dragon and lion dances.

Hainan Island Incident
The Hainan Incident was an air collision acident between the U.S Navy and the People's Liberation Army . A collison between the EP-3 and one of the J-8s caused the death of a PRC pilot. There were 24 crew members that were detained by Chinese authorities until the U.S government delivered a statement regarding the incident.
