Toghun Temur (Ukhaantu Khan)
Toghun Temur is known as the last leader of the Yuan dynasty in China.
He was defeated by Hong Wu and fled to Mongolia dying in 1370. -

Ming Hong Wu
The first ruler of the Ming Martials Emperors.
He was the Emperor that overthrew the Mongol.
The Mongols were defeated in 1368.
Ming Hong Wu died in 1398. -

Yong Le
He was the next emperor after the first Ming Hong Wu.
The man waged a four-year long war defeat the actual heir.
Yong Le had many construction projects for monuments to legitamize himself. -

Zheng He
He was sent on a total of seven voyages for explorationing.
The voyages he made returned great profits for China.
Zheng he went below South Asia and found the Indies.
After Yong Le died Zheng He was kept from exploring -
Wu Sangui
Wu Sangui was the general who betrayed the Ming rulers to the Qing.
He tried to become the Emperor of China but was defeated by Kangxi, 1678. -
Chongzhen
Chongzhen was the last emperor of the Ming dynasty.
He attempted to salvage the empire but made things worse.
The guy tried to kill his consort and daughter, after failing he went to Jingshan Hill and hanged himself, 1644. -
Li Zicheng
Li Zicheng was a shepherd who led a revolt against the empire.
His empire captured the capital in 1644.
The revolt weakened the country and it was taken by the Manchus. -
Hong Taiji
He came from north China which is todays' Manchuria.
He is the leader of the Manchus who wrestled power from Li Zicheng.
Hong Taiji was the man who started the Qing Dynasty. -
Kangxi
Kangxi was known as the greatest emperor of the Ming and Qing dynasties.
He was a strong leader who settled the unrest along the borders ,and he was a patron of the arts.
This emperor was a fair man who judged all equally and was tolerant of the Christian missionaries. -
Qianlong
He was a great Ming ruler who expanded China to its' greatest length.
When Qianlong got old, he let his country fall into disrest by allowing corrupt officials to cause problems.
1793, he turned away Lord George Macartney who was seeking more trading rights with him (mistake).
