    This Department was aiming for child labor to be put out, in terms of employment. The whole department established to reduce tensions between management and labor. They were putting in efforts to meet this goal, although it wasn't fully accomplished. (Sources child labor)
  • "March of the Mill Children" lead by Mother Jones

    Mary went to Pennsylvania to support a strike by 75,000 textile workers. They lead the march to petition President Roosevelt to support child labor laws. They demanded to end child labor. (Sources child labor)
  • National Child Labor Committee Founded

    A group of reformers founded the National Child Labor Committee . This Committee established the goal of abolishing all child labor. They were leading marches, and trying to convince politicians. They were a non-profit organization focused on promoting rights,dignity,and educations to children and youth.   • Muckraker Johm Spargo Punlished A Book

    Spargo exposed the harsh conditions of Child Lbaor through photographs. It was the most read boom that exposes this conditions. His goal was to open the eyes of people and to prove to them that chi,d labor is very very wrong. He wanted to remedy conditions that existed to end. (Sources child labor)
  • Government involved in the National Child Labor Committee

  • The Great Depression

    This period of time ends child labor forever. There were limited jobs and adults wanted them, therefore children were not working anymore. All the jobs were taken by adults - every single one of them. Child labor not only ended in the U.S but in other countries too, but not so many.
  • Fair Labor Standards Act Passed
