    Hernando De Soto

    Hernando De Soto conquered many areas. He was the first to explore what we now call Georgia.

    The first twenty years in Georgia were called trustee. The charter was presented a petition at first.

    These were a group of colonist who spoke German. The Salzburgers survived many hard and long days.

    The Highland Scots were a group of soilders that had sailed to Georgia. They were very good soilders and were named the best.

    It was first held in Augusta, Georgia. Georgia was the first to ratifie their Constitution.
  • Georgia Founded

    The Capital of Georgia is Savannah. Georgia became a colony in 1752
  • Georgia Ratifies the Constitution

    A special convention was held. Many other states followed the idea of holding conventions.
