1st Oslo Accord
The first face to face meeting; recognized each as a state with land. Palestine could not claim or keep the land, Israel took advantage and could settle. The Israeli army forces were pulled back from Palestine. -
Conflict
After the Oslo Accord- Israel did not want to recognize Palestine as a state and vice versa; Israel continued to take land and did not want to give land up. -

Palestinian authority agreed to divide the West Bank into zones; zones were negotiated. Each had religious ties to Jerusalem
