Jem and Scout were playing in the backyard when they heard the something next door. They went to go look at it and it was someone sitting down. It was Dill. -
Introduction to Maycomb
According to Scout, Maycomb is an old town. In rainy weather the streets would turn into "red slop". It was super hot on summer days. People moved slowly and everybody knew each other. -
Dill explains Dracula
Dill starts to explain how he saw the movie Dracula. That movie was for adults or present day rated R. Scout and Jem don't believe he actually saw the movie until he starts explaining it. -
Introducing Dill to the Radley place
Jem and Scout tell DiIl about the Radley place. They tell him the story on how Boo Radley was arrested for stabbing someone in the leg. The sheriff arrested him but out him in the basement so he wouldn't be with the negroes.
