This act was passed to let the British sell their tea very cheap, because they didn’t have to pay the tax the Americans had to pay. -

The Continental Congress met to decide either to settle the disputes between America and Britain or to claim their independence by war. -

They met again to see if they could just settle the dispute peacefully one last time but king George III didn’t listen.
