Mexican American's joined the Agricultural workers organizing committe. Mostly made up of Filipino American farm workers. And started to strike against grape growers. with 1,200 members. -

Strikers walked 340 miles from delano to the states capitiol in sacramento to draw attention to draw attention to the suffering of farm workers. -
1967
The UFW started a boycott of all california's table grapes, hundreds of grape strikers fanned out accross North America to orginaze a notional grape boycott. Millions of Americans railled to support the farm workers. -
1968
Cesar Chavez leads a notional boycott of californias grape growers and became known as "Viva La causa" -
1970
UFW singed a contract with most of californias grape growers ending the strike, By this time Chavez orgnized a nationwide boycott, by the end of the boycott 17 million Americans supported the cause. Many political civil rights leaders as well a very strong supporter was Robert Kennedy. Chavez went on a 25 day hunger strike and had attracted billions attention and belief in non violent. -

The UFW moved from delano to california LA paz southwest of bakersfield. With wine grape contracts, and the UFW membership grew nearly about 80,000. -

May 11th-June 4th, Cesar Chavez fasted for a second time for 25 days in Phoenix Arozona a protest of a law that denied farm workers teh rite to strike and boycott for better working conditions, The wokring conditions for them where horriable, The weather changes they had to go through and getting sick. -

A tiring three month strike by grape workers in californias coachella and san joaquin valleys began, thousends of strikers were arrested for violating anti-picking thousends were beaten,shot, and murderd, Cesar called off the strike and began a second grape boycott. -
1975
Jerry Brown at this time had became president and had signed a state law that guaranteed californias farm workers the right to orginaze and bargian with their employers. bythis time all of Cesars efforts had pushed the landmark Agriculture labor relations Act through the stated legislature.
