Robert Hooke was hte first to look through a light microscope at non living cells. He was looking at a crok and said teh boxlike cells of the cork looked like a monstary. -

Matthias Schleden
Matthias Schleden was the first to conclude that all living things contain 10 or more cells. He also recongiazed the importance of the cell's nuclues. He was also one of the first German scientist to acppet Darwin's theroy of evoloution. -
Theodor Schwann
A year after Schleiden, Theodor conculded that all animals have cells. He was a German physiologist and an assistnt to Johanna Muller. He discovered the digestive enzyme. He mastred in mcrioscopist in animal tissue. -
Rudolf Virchow
His cell theroy was that new cells arise from other cells. His most famous observation was that a whole organsim can not get sick only cetain cells or cell groups. He was also the first person to recgonize lukemia.
