    Annexation of Sudetenland
    Sudeten Germans wanted a push for independence from Czech. Led by Konrad Henlein, they used violent outbreaks and made their way into the Czech government with dominance in the Representatives. They convinced Britain and France that problem in the area would cause a war. A conference would be held in Muncih and it was deteremined that Czechoslavakia would be handed over to Germany.

    Japanese attackers led a air strike on the Naval base in Hawaii. Tojo Hideki already declared war on the US but did not tell them. Over half the naval fleet was destroyed while Japan used over 200 planes to do it. Over 2,000 were killed.

    The Battle of Stalingrad was a military campaign between Russia and Nazi Germany and the Axis powers during World War II. From August 1942 to February 1943, more than two million troops fought. Thousands of civilians were killed in the fighting, Hitler wanted Stalingrad for propaganda purposes. But the Russians held Hitler off and began to choke the German forces in the winter time and eventually pushed them back.
