Law of April 6, 1830
The law of April 6, 1830 was a law that prohibited the flood of immigration, but Stephen F. Austin convinced the Mexican government to limit some parts of the law. -
Conflict at Anahuac
Some of the conflicts at Anahuac were refusing to pay tariffs, William Travis, and patrick jack were arrested, and William B. Travis was later killed as commander of the Alamo. -
Turtle Bayon Resolutions
On June 12, 1832 John Davis Bradburn fled from Anahuac north to the crossing on Turtle Bayou. Texas Rebles learned that the federalist army had one significant victory under Santa Anna. Taking advantage of the news They sided with the federalist cause by composing the Turtle Bayou Resolutions. The 4 Resolutions condemned violations of the 1824 constitution by Government Bustamate and urged all Texans to support patriots who were fighting under Santa Anna -
Battle of Velasco
Texans had gone to Brazoria to retrieve a canon to use against Mexican forces. Texans had 100-150 Troops and the Mexicans had 91-200 The Mexicans ended up surrendering and the battle was the first case of bloodshed in the relations between Texas and Mexico -
Convention of 1832
The convention requested the extinction of tariff exemptions and to permit more general immigration from the United States, it also established a plan for organising a Militia. -
Convention of 1833
William H. Wharton preised over the convention which petitioned for repeal of Anti-Immigration. They asked for more adequate Indian defence, Judicial reform, and Improvment in mail service, sought tarrif exemption and passed Resolutions prohibiting African slave traffic into Texas -
Stephen F Austin goes to Mexico Cityv
The convention of 1833 elected Austin to deliver Petitions to Mexico City and argue for their approval. He started to go back home in December whiteout president Santa Anna approving state government for Texas. Austin was arrested in Saltillo of trying to Incite Insurrection in Texas he was shifting from prison to prison till December 1834 were he was released but not allowed to leave Mexico City -
The Consultation
The Consultation was a debate between the opposing factors that wanted to continue diplomatic relations with Mexico. On November 7th the Consultation established a provisional government upon the constitution of 1824. Sam Houston was named commander of the army.
