Missouri Comprimise
The Missouri Comprimise lasted from 1820 untill 1821. An agreement that allowed Missouri to enter the Union as a slave state and Maine to enter the Union as a free state. The Compromise drew an imaginary line at 36,30 north latitude this dividing the Louisiana Territory into two sections one north and one south. -
Comprimise of 1850
This was making California a free state but put stricter fugitive slave laws into effect in the north for the runaway slaves. -

It allowed people in the territories of Kansas and Nebraska to decide for themselves whether or not to allow slavery within their borders. -
