States try to legalize slavery
In 1641 Massechusits Bay Colony legalizes slavery. Then a little bit after that other states start to do the same. -
Slaves rebell
A bunch of slaves try to rebell because they want their freedom so bad. They want it so bad to were they fight and destory property of there Master. When they did that they were serveraly punished, to were their barely alive. -
Cotton Gin
Eli Whitney came of with this contraption that helped the slaves plan cotton. It also helped the plantation owners make more. -
Election Of Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln was elected in 1860, he dis liked slavery. Then when he was president there was rumours that he had slaves himself. -
Fugitive Slave act
The slave act was a part of the Compromise of 1850. It was a law that stated that any escaped slaves would be returned into slavery. -
Compromise of 1850
This was a package that ended up passing five bills. A couple of them was 1. Slavery was banned in Washington D.C. 2. Texas was no long under the control of Mexico. -
Underground Rail Road
In the 1800's black slavery used thes rail roads as secret routes to get to free states. -

Dread Scott Decision
Dread Scott was a slave, then when his owner died they moved to a free state. He thought he was going to be free but that change. After that he took it to the supreme court and they said nybody with African American blood is not free. -
The start of the Civil War
The war starts, and begins in North Carolina. It lasts about 4 years. After that the slaves become free.
