The Treaty of Paris
On Feb 10, 1763 the Treaty of Paris was signed. This has made the French lose all their land in North America to the British and Spainards. This happened because the British has used a blockade to block shipments of supplies to the French forts in North America. -
Sugar Act
On April 5, 1764 Parliament has issued the Sugar Act onto the colonies. The Sugar Act was used to raise revenue on the colonists to help pay off the war debt, and to stop smuggling of non- British products. -
Curency Acts
The currency act was the controling over colonist currency system. It also prohibited any issue of a new bill. It also made the colonist suffer from money deficit from britain. -
Stamp Act
On Mrach 1765 Parliament has passed a bill called the Stamp Act. This was passed onto the colonies stating that the all colonist must pay taxes on all printed materials, newspaper, books, and other things. This was to help England pay off the war debt, and has made the colonists mad because England broke its promise on not taxing the colonies. -
Quartering Act
AN ACT that made life miserable for the colonist. Thie act was basiccally allowing of the British soldiers to live in your house and eat, drink all of your food. It was like taking care of an old fool of a drunk. -
Boston Massacre
On March 5, 1770 colonists marched to the British customs house in Boston. The Boston Massacre was made by Paul Revere which showed the killing of colonists by the British soliders. This is the starting of the colonists hatred towards England. -
The Tea Act
On March 10, 1773 Parliament passes another bill called the Tea Act to the colonies. This bill does not impose as a new tax or revenue but to support the East India Company to get more money. This has made radical leaders in America belive that this bill is to help England impose more taxes on the colonies by getting the support of the East India Company. -
The Boston Tea Party
The Boston tea party was the protesting of british importation ports. This event was caused by massachusetts patriots who eventually stole over 342 chests of tea. -
Intolerable Acts
On May 10, 1774 Pariament passed the Intolerable Act to the colonies. This act is the closing of ports in the colonies, due to the colonists boycott, and harassment on custom officals, this was passed to keep the colonists under control under Englands rules. -
The Battle of Lexington and Concord
On April 19, 1775 war started at Lexington and Concord, two country towns West of Boston. British forces were sent to capture John Hancock, and Samuel Adams in Concord, they are being captured due to telling colonist the British attack. Paul Revere rode into Concord to tell everyone the famous line " the British are coming".
