The Sugar Act
The Sugar Act was a new law meant to stop the smuggling of sugar and molasses into the colonies from the french and dutch. It proved to increase funds for the British Empire. It also had a great impact on the french. -
The Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 was a British produced boundary that is in the Appalachian mountains. It was a line that on maps prohibited any colonists to live or pass over it. If a person already lived there then they would have to move back. -
The Quartering Act
The Quartering Act was the British parliamentary provision stating the following. All colonists must provide food, drinks, quarters, gas, a bed and transportation if needed for any soldier to need to stay at one's home. Any who did not give any and all of the items mentioned would be arrested. -
The Stamp Act
the stamp act made all items like newspapers, playing cards, dice, paper, legal documents, pamphlets, broadsides etc, extremely taxed. This was because of the french and Indian war. And this help with the British debt. -
The Boston Massacre
when a couple of colonists were protesting against a couple groups of British soldiers. one of them threw a rock and the British soldiers took out their guns. They shot 6 and killed 5 people. -
The Boston Tea Party
when the British taxed all the tea there was a group of people that hated this a lot. They hated this so much that they went to the docks while no one was there at night. They got in a British boat and dumped 92,000 pounds of tea. this cost the British around $2,670. -
The Massachusetts Government Act
The Massachusetts Government Act was after the Boston tea party. The government of Massachusetts made a series of laws now known as The Intolerable Acts. They were put into place to punish and make the colonists pay for the Boston tea party. -
The Administration of Justice Act
The Administration of Justice Act was the reassurance of British official going into trial. If a British official was charged with a capital offence they would get a fair trial. This act was also called the Murder Act. -
The Boston Port Act
The Boston Port Act was the law that closed the Boston ports. This was meant to force the people of Boston to buy the tea they so badly hate. And pay for what damages the Sons of Liberty caused dumping all those crates and chests of tea into the ocean. -
the Intolerable Acts
The Intolerable Acts was a series of laws and events that was passed by the British government after what happened at the Boston tea party. These acts would be the Quebec act and the quartering act, among others. These were aimed directly at the colonists.
