    The Proclamation of 1763
    The proclamation of 1763, signed by king George lll of England. The proclamation of 1763 prevented colonists from the Appalachian Mountains. It was there to keep peace between the Native Americans because they did not want to spend money. The colonists did not like this at all because they had just fought hard and died for the land and now don't even get to use it. They were no were near happy about this decision. proclamation of 1763 he prohibited any English settlement west of the Appalachian.
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act of 1764 was passed by parliament to pay for the war debt brought on by the french and Indian war. Also wanted to help pay for the expenses of running the colonies and newly acquired territories. This act increased the duties on imported sugar and other items such as textiles, coffee, wines and indigo (dye). The Sugar Act lowered the duty from 6 to 3 per gallon. It gave a strong enforced tax on the sugar. The Sugar Act also caused a disruption between the British and New England.

    In March The Stamp Act of 1765 was passed by parliament imposing the first direct tax on the American colonies, to offset the high costs of the British military organization in America. Thus for the first time in the 150 year old history of the British colonies in America, the Americans will pay tax not to their own local legislatures in America, but directly to England. Under The Stamp Act, all printed materials were taxed, like newspapers, bills, dice and playing cards and almanacs, pamphlets.

    The Boston Massacre occurred when a mob harassed the British soldiers who then fired their muskets point blank into the crowd, killing 3 instantly, mortally wounding two others and injuring 6. The Boston Massacre had impacted a lot on the British and American colonists. The Boston Massacre started with little argument between the British and a few colonists. The argument grew a little farther and colonists got together and started to throw things at the private white. British army is the blame.

    The Boston tea party occurred on the 16 of December of 1773.The Boston tea party was in Griffin’s wharf in Boston, Massachusetts.The Boston tea party was an American political protest. American colonists were very angry at the British because they were imposing taxation without representation and they didn't like that.They dropped off 342 chests of tea, which was imported by the British East India Company which was in the harbor.The very angry protesters were met with a direct response from them

    The Boston Port Act,This act shut down the harbor to all trade permanently until the messed up tea was paid for. Once the revolutionary war had started in April of 1775, Boston had become a very important military goal to The British and the colonists.The Boston Port Act had banned any loading or unloading ships or any ship in general from Boston harbor.The Boston port Act started in March 30, 1774. In 1774 they closed the port from all and order the citizens of Boston to pay for the huge fine.

    The Administration of justice act, also known to be the Murder Act.The goal of this act was to provide for all of the people that were accessing the legal system.There are 3 main components in this act were law enforcement, the court system and corrections.This act was actually never repealed.The colonists were angered, they didn't like it.This act affected colonists in a way of not having self government.That's why they were very angry.The British Officials were eventually charged with capital.

    The Massachusetts Government Act was an act that gave the royally appointed more power. This act regulated the government of the Massachusetts Bay, this was in England. This act was designed to reform the power of this local government, so that this act would give more power to the government.This was appointed by the British themselves and the colonists themselves removed the power by themselves. This act did have a negative effect on the colonists, because it took away their democratic rights.

    The Quartering Act of 1774 was way different than the Quartering Act of 1765, The act of 1774 allowed The British troops to be housed in their private homes and their facilities. The colonists thought of the Quartering Act as a way of unjust taxation. This act was designed to make better housing options for the troops being in where the colonies were at.The Quartering act required some important things which were food, water, lodging, fuel, and transportation. The act of 1765 was way different.

    The Quebec Act allowed the French Catholics to get good jobs in the government. This act also allowed the French to get practice so they knew the style of law they were going to be doing. The colonists didn’t like this act because it increased the British control of religion, land distribution, and colonial government. They didn’t like that at all. This act expanded their territory and made the indigenous people upset. This act created a French, Roman catholic colony with another empire.
