British troops opened fire on protesting colonists. -
The Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea party was a protest by the colonists in Boston (specifically the sons of liberty) who did not approve of the tea act and the way Britain controlled them. They dumped chests of tea into the Boston Harbor. -
The Intolerable Acts
A series of laws that included the Boston Port Act, the Massachusetts Government Act, the Administration of Justice Act, and the Quartering Act which were all meant to punish the settlers after the Boston Tea Party.
