    The colonists are forced to give up the Appalachian mountains. They think this is very unfair. They believe they won the war and had a right to this land

    This act was a direct tax on the colonists. This was the first time in 150 years that they didn't pay directly to their legislator. This was a tax on all printed material such as newspapers, pamplets, bills, legal documents, almanacs, dice, and playing cards.

    Parliament put a tax on sugar to pay for the war. The colonists were angry because they didn't have representation in Parliament. This is where the saying " No taxation without representation." came from.

    A mob of anti-British were protesting the red coats. The red coats fired their guns. Killing 5 people and injuring 6 others. This was the spark that started the fire of the American Revolution.

    In response to the Boston Massacre, an anti-British group called The Sons of Liberty dumped 45 tons of tea into the ocean. They boarded the ships dressed as Indians. They boarded the Beaver, Elenore, and Darthmouth ships.

    The Intolerable Acts also known as the Coercive Acts was Britain's response to the Boston Tea Party. First, they made the Boston port act they shut down Boston's ports till the money was given back from the Boston Tea Party. They moved to capital to Salem and made Marblehead the official port of entry. The Quartering Act made the colonists house and feed new troops. The Quebec Act granted Quebec a free government and freedom of religion.

    The Massachusetts regulating act was when law officers appointed a royal governor to every colony. This banned all town meetings without the approval of the governor. Lastly, the Imperial Administration of Justice Act was when the royal governor was permitted to move trials to other colonies or even England. This is because they feared the judge from a colony may favor the colonists over the British.
