    The Treaty of Paris ended the French and Indian War. It was located in Paris, France in 1763. After the war the British taxed the colonists to pay for the war. The French lost all of the land, Spain got all lands west of Mississippi, and England got all French lands in Canada

    The Sugar Act was passed in 1764. It was assigned customs officers and created courts to collect the duties and prosecute smugglers.

    The Parliament passed a bill intended to raise money from the colonies. The Stamp Act required colonists to pay a tax on almost all printed materials like newspapers, documents and contracts.

    The nervous soldiers fired their guns killing five colonists. This led to the Boston Massacre

    The colonists protested that the British were trying to trick them into paying tax. December 16, 1773 Boston Patriots took everything into their own hands. They dressed up like Indians and dumped all the British tea into the harbor
