Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris put an end to the French and Indian War. Rewarding the British with all the land, and the Spanish kept their land even though they allied with the French. The French lost all of their land and were out of North America. -
French and Indian War Ended
The French and Indian War was fought between Britain, and the Fench. They were fighting over the Ohio River Valley. The Indians during the war sided with both sides but mainly the French. The war was over when the Treaty of paris was signed and the French no longer remained in North America. -
Sugar Act
The Sugar Act was when Britian enforced a tax on sugar. -
Stamp Act
This new tax was imposed on all American colonistes, it required them to pay a tax on every peice of printed paper. Such as ship's papers, legal documents, licences, newspapers, other publications, and even playing cards. Money collected from the Stamp Act was to help pay debt from the war. -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre occured when a diminutive group of British Soldiers shot and killed 5 colonists. The colonists were protesting and rioting in front of the Costums house. -
Tea Act
The Tea Act was when Britain taxed the tea in the colonies and the colonists boycotted the tea. -
Boston Tea Party
Colonists were protesting against the British taxes on tea. Boston colonists dressed up as Mohawk Natives and dumped the tea into the Harbor. -
Intolerable Acts
Pairlament enforced these laws to control the colonists by shutting down the Boston Harbor and not allowing any town meetings. -
First Continental Congress
Group of delegates gathered and represented all of the American colonies, beside Georgia. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
The first war of the American Revoultionary War, it was fought between the American Colonies and Great Britain. It took place in Lexington, massachusetts.
